About Jamie

Jamie Pomeranz is Hoboken based mixed media artist who has been pushing the boundaries between commercial, fine, and functional art under the name Devils May Care since 2007. Known as a medium hopper, Jamie began her artistic career as a photographer and graphic artist who burst onto the fashion scene with a line of hand screened tee shirts and limited edition belt buckles. Jamie’s fashions were bought by celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, worn on American Idol, and recommended by New York Magazine.

In 2018 Jamie discovered fluid art and began her journey as a creator on social media. Focusing on abstract and intuitive art, Jamie built a following of 100k+ followers across social media platforms after becoming known for creating a unique technique painting roses using alcohol ink and a hair dryer. Jamie’s alcohol ink work has been carried in online retailers such as Target, Nordstrom Rack, Zulily, Overstock and more.

Join me for a little puffing and a little painting as I lead an alcohol ink workshop as part of The Green Room's Clouds and Canvas series in downtown Hoboken. This intro workshop to alcohol inks is happening in Hoboken's first CBD dispensary. This is not a paint by numbers class. After a small intro to the medium, you'll have all the colors in the Jacquard Products rainbow to play with and my favorite paper, yupo paper by Legion Paper, to make as many pieces as you like. Learn techniques to help you continue to create at home or just be in the moment and enjoy the process with friends.
